Shayn (34) is the newest member of the Central Electrical team. Joining in 2020 as an apprentice, Shayn is new to the tradie scene having a background in hospitality. After moving to New Zealand from South Africa, Shayn joined the Navy in 2004 working as a chef. In 2015 it was time to retire from the military and get back to civilian life. He became a Sous Chef at the Stratford Mountain House where he worked for 5 years. However, Shayn wanted the challenge of something new where he could figure out how things work. This brought him to Mark and the team at Central Electrical. In his own time, Shayn’s a big fan of the outdoors and enjoys getting out and about. His interests include most sports, cooking for people, the gym and boxing.
